WinRAR is Windows version of the RAR archiver - a powerful tool which allows you to create, manage and control archive files. There are several versions of RAR, for a number of operating environments: Windows, Linux,FreeBSD, Mac OS X.
There are two versions of RAR for Windows:
Version with graphical user interface - WinRAR.exe;Command line console (text mode) version - Rar.exe.WinRAR and WinRAR self-extracting modules require Windows XP or later.

Changes in this version:
Version 5.01 1. WinRAR treats files with .txz extension as .tar.xz archives. 2. If 7-Zip archive extraction is cancelled, WinRAR deletes the incompletely extracted file. Previous versions did not delete it. 3. Bugs fixed (15 bugs)
